Black and White
Have you noticed that our favourite reality star has gone black and white?

After Kanye West cleaned out her closet, Kim Kardashian has rarely been seen in anything colourful.
If you don’t believe me, the Huffington Post writes:
“…since she started dating Kanye West: the necklines have gone up, the heels have gone (slightly) down and all those bright colors have been sucked away in place of black, white, gray and more black.”
So, what do I think of this new demonic/angelic trend?
I LOVE IT…and Kimye is better for it.
Black is sophisticated – as I have said numerous times before – and while white is known to be clean, it offers the wearer a chance to really glam it up or use the occasion to let their natural beauty shine through.
Perhaps it’s the reason why virgins and brides are always pictured in white.
However, while I adore the black and white, I do remember what colour did for her….
The same thing the black and white is doing.
Here are some tips for dressing up your black and white outfit if colour is what you love:
- Let your natural beauty shine through
- Wear colourful accessories
- Wear colourful shoes
Making it on Your Own…bangle Inspired
Accessories, as many of you may know, are not cheap. So, anytime a girl can improvise, then it should be done.
I recently discovered the page Hijab Fashion on Facebook and it gave me some brilliant ideas for DIY when it comes to bracelets and hand-bands and I just wanted to share some of them with you.
Enjoy.
Pearled Ribbon
Now I tried making this, and somehow ended up with that…
Oh well, better luck next time.
Beaded Bow Bracelet

Gonna be trying this one next…hope it comes out looking like that.
Till next time, check out Hijab Fashion for more ideas.
“Bringing Up the Past”
Hey fashionistas, I hope all is well with you and yours.
I know it’s been a while since I last posted and I apologise.
As many of you would know by now, Trinidad and Tobago celebrated its 50th Independence Anniversary last weekend and boy was it a celebration.
From fashion shows to rallies to fireworks, it had me busy. In fact, it’s really the reason why I had no time to post.
I really wanted to post this lovely red, white and black polyvore ensemble on the day before the holiday just to say “Happy 5oth Birthday T&T” but I got so caught up in the activities that I just could not.
However, I live by the motto “Better Late than Never” so let’s bring up the past.
The Beehive Hijab
Are trendy Muslimahs going too far?
Everywhere I go these days, Muslim girls are wearing what appears to look like a beehive on top of their head. Some describe it as the “volumised hijab” others as the “beehive bump”.
“Hat” Attack
In Trinidad and Tobago hats are primarily worn to shade the wearer from the sun. And most often than not, it’s usually a baseball cap or visor doing the shading.
Most recently however, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has been leading the way with her use of fashionable hats to accessorise her look. Whether it’s being embraced by the female population is unknown.
